Ateldoora D. Nightmoon-Barnum is a Seattle born sculptor, painter, and Illustrator. She proudly runs two projects: Nyliir Studios (Sculpture and Mixed Media Paintings) and Druantia Designs (Illustration, Portraiture, and Logo Design). Although she has developed a reputation for placing important attention to detail she describes both her subject matter and technical approaches as "a continued intuitive exploration." Despite having created a large variety of work including painted murals, Beautiful custom portraits and lockets, and a vast series of art liquor and perfume bottles, she is best known for her collection of counter culture porcelain dolls. As a modern doll maker she has been featured in numerous galleries including the Helen Smith Gallery, The Aria Gallery, and Happy Delusions in Renton Washington.
Ateldoora was educated at Green River Community College by noted sculptors Paul Metievier and Edward Brannan. She continued her education privately under the mentorship of Seattle Art Director Nicole Stremlow Monahan. She plans to continue through to her Masters of Fine Arts starting in fall 2012.
In addition to the drive to create art that the working class family can afford her greatest inspiration is that of her two beautiful Children: Catherine Anna and Grey Edward. She is photographed with her husband Adam who has always been her greatest professional supporter.
